Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Stanley Jegede is one of the leading figures that have transformed telecommunications in Africa in the last decade. Jegede has had a successful academic career, but notably obtained a B.Sc (honours) in Business information systems from University of North London, in 1995 and M.Sc in Business information Technology from Middlesex University, London, in 1996. Among others, he worked as a Business Analyst in the United Kingdom between 1997 and 1999 and later joined Verizon Communications (Formerly Bell Atlantic) USA, in 1999 to 2002 as a Senior Business Analyst. At Verizon, he oversaw the implementation of a new billing system – Express Track across fourteen (14) States of the United States. In 2003, Jegede helped found Phase3 Telecom, a firm licensed to offer National Long Distance transmission services using fibre optic within the territory of Nigeria. His visionary and consummate leadership style has seen him turn Phase3 Telecom from a local firm to the service provider of choice in the West African sub-region offering services in a revolutionary manner through optic fibre running over power lines. He has therefore created a novel means of transmission services that is safe, secured and cost effective. Jegede has consistently pushed the expansion of the Phase 3 network at a very high speed, with the vision of building the most reliable, dependable and longest fibre backbone across the West African region leveraging on the West African power pool. Today, Phase3 Telecom is the main driver of Nigeria’s Wire Nigeria (WiN) project, a scheme designed to deliver broadband services across all states of Nigeria. Jegede’s success with Phase3 Telecom, has seen him appointed as a member of the Broadband Committee inaugurated by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and charged to produce a Broadband roadmap plan to drive broadband penetration across Nigeria. As CEO, Jegede has always shown commitment to quality of service and this in turn has yielded numerous awards including the International Arch of Europe award for Quality as well as best Infrastructure Service Provider award 2012 in the Africa-America International business awards, amongst other notable recognitions conferred on Phase3 Telecom.

Director, Legal & Regulatory Services

Adebayo is the Chief Legal Officer, and General Counsel at Phase3 Telecom Limited. He has over two decades of extensive experience in legal, regulatory, and corporate services with vast knowledge of the West African banking, and telecommunications landscapes.

His experience in corporate legal practice commenced from the legal department of Union Bank Plc followed by First Atlantic Bank Plc, and IMB International Bank (Now FinBank) where he acquired requisite knowledge in security perfection, litigation monitoring, company secretarial practice, debt recovery and credit administration & appraisal - while his engagements in the telecommunications sector begin with Mobitel Limited as Legal Manager which paved the way for his joining Globacom Limited as one of its pioneer staff in 2003.

Adebayo Azeez’s versatility also rides on a hands-on human resources management skill set, and an innate ability to bring cohesion, meaning and coherence to company management and leadership. He is a teacher by calling and an associate pastor with the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria. He is married with children.

Director, Strategy & Investment

MBA (Manchester Business School, UK), MSc (Distinction) International Banking & Finance (Salford Business School, UK), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, UK, BSc Computer Science (University of Salford, UK).
Prior to joining Phase3 Telecom, Zeme was a partner at Ardent Capital, Manchester, a corporate finance services firm. While there, he worked on the funding of medium/long term infrastructure projects (airports, railways, bridges & strategic airborne refueling aircrafts) and the provision of equity investors & corporate finance services to the gaming, leisure and oil services industries.

He was between 1999 and 2004 the Chief Executive Officer at JEAL Ltd, Nigeria, a printing, design & publishing company and prior to that CFO. His early management career included being the Resource Finance Systems Development Manager for Granada Television, Manchester, UK. He is a capable leader at ease with motivating a team to success in high pressured situations.

Director, Engineering

An alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (Bachelor of Engineering Degree, Mechanical option), Lagos Business School (Senior Management Program) and Imperial College London Business School (MBA). Also a member of PMI and IEEE.

Olabode Ojo is a result oriented, customer focused telecommunications professional with over 17 years experience in the ICT domain. During this time, he has been involved in diverse activities covering a wide spectrum of competences spanning presales, network rollout, managed services operations, project, program and general management as well as implementation of business strategy programs.

Prior to joining Phase 3 telecom, Olabode most recently  served as Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa’s Head of Network Rollout (Integration service area); responsible for contract fulfilment of NRO-I deliveries and managing multiple customer engagements across 25 countries in Africa.

He also worked in North and South America (OEMTEL) for Ericsson Inc at various times, in managed services operational assurance and technical presales roles. Previously, he had a stint in the former Standard Trust Bank plc as a member of the pioneer strategy and implementation team for rollout of electronic banking services in Nigeria.

He has a significant track record for developing people and mentoring leadership talent. An avid traveller, he has visited over 40 countries and counting.

Director, Emerging Business

MBA Marketing-Finance, IMS YMCA, Electrical Engineering-Pusa Institute of Technology, Delhi and Mathematics (Hons) Osmania University, Hyderabad, India.

Vick has over 20 years of robust experience in sales, marketing and business operations. His veritable knowledge base in new business set up, and expansion spans a career graph that include stints with a US MNC Carrier Aircon; Voltas group as head of business development; Bharti Cellular; Tata Docomo; and Etisalat as assistant vice president.

He was instrumental in launching GSM business for Docomo & growing data business for CDMA division of Tata Indicom; as well as in the launch of India’s first 1800MHz telecom network by Airtel.

In African markets predominantly Nigeria where he has been engaged in the last 8 years - Vick has held a number of significant roles including country head sales & marketing at Hi Media Group; chief operating officer of Hi Buzz & Highway Distribution; consultant as well as sales director for Inview Technology UK; thus facilitating National Broadcasting Commission of Nigeria (NBC) project on Digital Switch Over (DSO).

He has also served as an adviser on Nigerian Film Industry popularly referred to as Nollywood, and to Seychelles Broadcasting Commission – on ways to significantly increase revenues in movies & home grown content.

His work with Phase3 Telecom commenced in 2014 as a consultant on its TMT Convergence drive which progressed into his employment as Phase3’s director,  emerging business in 2015 - an oversight function that has seen him conceptualize 3Flix Live TV service for Mobile Devices and unique video-on-demand (VOD) for Phase3’s Coverage Broadband Strategic Business Unit (SBU).

Vick is very dedicated to expanding Coverage Broadband products and services with a focus to position it as a VAS Company of choice in West Africa.
