Vikram Bhatnagar is a distinguished TMT expert with a proven history of success and innovation in India and Africa. He has over 26years of experience in leading and growing businesses across various domains and markets. He is adept at new business development, expansion, and innovation.

He has a strong track record of launching and growing telecom networks and services in India and Africa. He has been involved in launching India’s first 1800MHz telecom network and GSM business, growing data business for CDMA division, overseeing the operations of a leading telecom operator in India, and facilitating a major project on digital switch over for the national broadcasting commission of Nigeria.

He has been active in the African markets, especially Nigeria, for the last 13+ years. He has held various leadership positions, such as country head sales & marketing, chief operating officer, consultant, and sales director. He has also served as an adviser on the Nigerian film industry and to Seychelles broadcasting commission, on ways to increase revenues in movies and home-grown content.

He joined Phase3 in 2014 as a consultant on its TMT convergence drive. He was appointed as Phase3’s director of emerging business in 2015, where he conceptualized 3Flix Live TV service for mobile devices and unique video-on-demand (VOD) for Phase3’s Coverage Broadband strategic business unit (SBU). Later in 2019 he moved on to join Teleology and DMA Group new owners of Etisalat Nigeria as TMT Consultant where he worked with the new Board of Directors and AFC to streamline 9Mobile business and was instrumental in launching the 9PSB (Payment Service Bank).

He has an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Institute of Management Studies, YMCA and an Electrical Engineering from Pusa Institute of Technology. Vikram also holds a BA (Hons) Math’s from Osmania University.
